3 Mind-blowing New Hublot’s!

While Hublot is not officially part of the SIHH, they have started a tradition of releasing some novelties alongside the fair. This year is no different, and Hublot continues to do what it does best: make watches that redefine the boundaries of watchmaking in terms of technology, design, and materials. It achieves this by launching a new manufacture caliber, expanding its sapphire collection, and take the Sang Bleu collection to an even higher level by using new materials.

Hublot Big Bang Meca-10 Magic Gold

With the Meca-10 Hublot introduces its new manufacture caliber HUB1201. This manual wind movement features two parallel barrels that are linked to a rack-driven, double power reserve system. This is made especially eye-catching thanks to the design of the movement, from which inspiration was taken of the famous Meccano building kits. Even the back of the movement is beautifully stylized and shows a very high level of movement design that not only favors technical excellence but also accommodates beauty. This new caliber, with a ten-day power reserve, is fitted inside a case made from Magic Gold, the world’s first and only scratch resisting 18K gold that Hublot developed together with EPFL five years ago.

Hublot Big Bang Unico Perpetual Calendar Sapphire

Hublot is expanding its collection of sapphire encased Big Bang‘s with the Unico Perpetual Calendar. This is quite a feat because it reconfirms that Hublot is the first Swiss brand that has mastered the complex art of creating watch cases and parts from sapphire crystal. Although they remain very exclusive, it does allow them to create them in a larger volume and at a more accessible price than the one-off or extremely limited editions other brands previously made. The sapphire case also provides a full view of the beautiful and complicated Unico perpetual calendar movement, and the 416 parts that go into it.

Hublot Sang Bleu

We were also very pleased to see several new versions of the Hublot Sang Bleu. The watch tantalizing geometric shapes of the watch just begged for more, and that is what Hublot delivered. Now also available in gold, and in an all black version, which makes the Sang Bleu perhaps even more mysterious, it shows off the versatility of the design. The different materials give each watch a character of their own. This is also most certainly the case with the diamond set version. By filling in the geometric shapes of the Sang Bleu with colorless, brilliant cut diamonds, Hublot has added an extra dimension by adding their texture and scintillation to the piece.
