Buben & Zorweg Unveil Luxury Clocks at Luxpo

At the Luxpo exhibition which took place from September 6th to 9th in Beijing, China, clockmakers Buben & Zorweg teamed up with retailers Sparkle Roll to expand their presence in the Asian luxury goods market. At the exhibition, which took place at the National Convention Centre, more than 50 international luxury brands, including Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Richard Mile and DeWitt, presented their newest wares. Christian Zorweg, one of the founders of Buben & Zorweg, described Luxpo: “The enthusiasm of customers and the press was huge. Of course, the opportunity to present our masterpieces in such luxurious surroundings is a very special highlight for us. We are very proud of the close cooperation with our partner Sparkle Roll and are already looking forward to further events in the Asian region.”

Buben & Zorweg’s presentation at the exhibition was a favorite with luxury aficionados, with pieces like the stand-alone Solitaire Orbit Tourbillon clock drawing enthusiastic crowds. This clock consists of a mecca for luxury enthusiasts; not only is it a stand-up clock, it is also a safe for your watches, a humidor for your cigars, a presentation bar and an iPhone docking station. The outside of the Solitaire Orbit Tourbillon is protected by 16mm bullet-proof glass doors, stainless steel hinges, an alarm system, while the goods inside are protected by an integrated thermometer and hygrometer. The craftsmanship, exotic woods, high-gloss lacquer and hand-stitched Italian nappa leather of incredible piece of can be looked upon without admirers ever guessing it comprises a Swiss-made VdS Class I safe. Only 75 pieces of the limited-edition Solitaire Orbit Tourbillon clock will be produced.

Meanwhile the Ellipse Grand Revers Tourbillon Rhodium table-top clock, with its flying minute tourbillon, was a favorite among mechanical enthusiasts. The technical specs of this clock include a Swiss linear escapement, a screw balance wheel with antimagnetic overcoil hairspring, stainless steel ball bearings, a rhodanised threedimensional dial with sunray brush applications and a goldstone bezel around the tourbillon. Meanwhile the exterior is all luxury, with 11 jewels, a mother-of-pearl moon disc, a macassar wood inlay and crystal glass. Only 25 piece of the limited-edition Ellipse Grand Revers Tourbillon Rhodium table-top clock will be produced.

With demand for luxury goods converging with an enthusiastic new group of timekeepers in the Asian market and around the world, these limited-edition clocks from Buben & Zorweg are sure to be snapped up.
